Professional facials are a great way to maintain and treat your skin. Regular facials can increase your beauty, improve the clarity of your skin complexion, and stimulate blood flow to help with cell regeneration. Due to very popular demand, I’m delighted that from June 2023 I’m offering a new suite of services – facials! In this post, you can find out what’s involved and the different facial treats I can give you, how you need to prepare, and the gorgeous Avon products I’ll use.
Before I arrive for your facial, please get the following ready:
- A space for the beauty bench
- Towels – one large and one small
- Heat the kettle
Preparation
Is your skin normal, dry, oily, combination, or sensitive? We begin with a consultation – you tell me about your skin, and any problem areas or sensitivities I need to know about.
Then I’ll ask you to lie on the beauty bench, with your clothing stripped to the shoulders so they are exposed. Ideally, wear something that is easy for you to remove over the shoulder (like a vest top). I’ll also give you a clean facial band to protect your hairline, although you can of course use your own if you prefer. I’ll place a towel across your chest for comfort, and get out your personal facial sponges – yours to keep and use afterwards.
Step 1: Anew Purifying Jelly Cleanser with Charcoal Extract
(All skin types)
I will wet the skin slightly with facial sponges. Then in circular motions, I will gently rub your face with Anew Charcoal Extract Purifying Jelly Cleanser using silicone facial brushes for maximum effect. The jelly will be removed with warm, damp facial sponges and I will pat dry your skin using tissues.
This is the first step to remove dust, dirt, pollen, pollution and anything else laying on the surface of your skin.

Step 2: Anew Reviving Tonic and Facial Massage
(NOT for sensitive skin)
Next, your skin will require a toner using Anew Reviving Tonic, which I’ll apply with cotton pads.
This step is to remove any remaining dirt stuck deep into the layers of your skin. There is no point in cleansing your skin if the skin isn’t clean enough, and this step prepares your skin for your full facial.

Anew Renewal Facial Massage

We’ll need 25 minutes in total to complete Steps 1 and 2. We’ll then finish with a moisturiser, or continue the pampering with these luxurious extras…
Step 3: Optional Extras
Oriental Awakening Purifying Glow Scrub for the face
(ADD 10 minutes)
Scrubbing your face with an exfoliator will lift extra dirt from the deeper layers of your skin. In circular motions, I will massage your skin with my hands, getting into those awkward places like the sides of your nose and chin. The scrub/s will be removed using your facial sponges.

Kelly Glover Strawberry Lip Scrub & Moisturiser for the lips
(ADD 10 minutes)
Loaded with extra-fine sugar crystals that treat and hydrate your lips at the same time, I highly recommend the lip scrub treatment with the face scrub. It will loosen dead skin cells resting on your lips, making your lips feel soft and smooth afterwards and preventing chapping and dryness.
The product: You’ll be left with smooth, flake-free lips every time you use it. I mean, there’s no excuse not to exfoliate your lips when it’s this easy. Vegan, cruelty-free, and gluten-free formula features natural sugar crystals exfoliators to buff away dry patches.
Hot Towel Treatment
(ADD 10 minutes)
For maximum effect and best results, add a hot towel treatment. It opens your pores, ready for extraction and deep cleansing face masks.
Applying heat facial towels is a relaxing treatment and will only require 5 minutes before the next step.
Extraction
(ADD 5 minutes)
For maximum effect and best results, I recommend extraction for blackhead removal. It can be difficult to remove blackheads that are embedded deep into your skin. With the above treatments, it’ll be easier for the blackheads to reach the surface of your skin, so we can extract them at this stage. Face masks alone will not prove effective.
Step 4: Optional Face Mask Treatments

Option A - Tranquillity Ritual Face Mask

With Dead Sea minerals for refreshed, healthy-looking skin. This radiance-boosting face mask helps to absorb surface oil from your skin, minimising the appearance of pores and leaving your skin feeling soft and smooth.
Option B - Heavenly Hydration Face Mask
ADD 15 mins

Option C: Eye / Nose / Mouth Gold Collagen Treatment
Choose one, two or all three sections
ADD 15 mins per section
I apply gold collagen to your eyes and / or mouth, and / or a black charcoal peel-off nose mask. Under eye treatments are great for dark circles and puffy eyes, and it’s amazing for hydrating and moisturising the eyes, especially after a facial cleanse. It also contains an anti-wrinkle formula.
The masks are made with high-density plant collagen and transparent mask releasing technology, the ingredients are quickly absorbed by the skin, providing needed nutrients and moisture. A natural moisturiser, the eye masks gradually dissolve below body temperature and penetrate quickly into the skin, the eye masks visibly reduce wrinkles and lines. Full face coverage with a gold collagen face mask. After removing the mask, I will massage the remaining serum into your face, neck and shoulders, leaving your skin feeling firm and skin refined. Optional: Head, Hand and Foot Massage

Why not include a head, hand or foot massage, using coconut oil? We can leave the masks on until the massage has finished. It’ll complement your facial massage at the end beautifully. You will need to wash your hair afterwards though – it smells amazing, but can get a little oily!
Aftercare
I recommend that you avoid heat treatments such as hot tubs, saunas and steam rooms for a couple of days until your pores have safely closed again, and stay out of the sun if you can – and always use the correct SPF sun cream. It is recommended to enjoy facials every 4-6 weeks, so I’ll be seeing you again soon!
